Foundational Cohort: Latin Through Genesis

An 8-week guided journey into the linguistic blueprint of Scripture—seated around an open table, with zero grammar drills.

Course Narrative

Most people assume that reading the Bible in Latin requires years of memorizing conjugation charts, noun declensions, and abstract paradigm tables before ever encountering a meaningful sentence.

In this foundational seminar, we reverse the academic model entirely. From Day 1, you sit around an open table with the opening lines of the Latin Vulgate (In principio creavit Deus caelum et terram). Guided step by step, you learn the mechanics of the language organically by discovering the root words, prefixes, and grammatical rhythms that shaped modern thought and faith.

What You Will Discover

The Power of the Root: Trace how Greek and Latin roots underneath our modern vocabulary.

The Architecture of Creation: Contrast the ordered, rational taxonomy of the biblical creation account with chaotic ancient mythologies.

Jerome’s Classical Heritage: Understand why Saint Jerome preserved Greek philosophical concepts directly within the Latin text.

Collaborative Reading: Build immediate confidence reading sacred texts aloud and translating alongside fellow believers over coffee.
