Scholarship in Service of the Church
Bringing sacred languages out of the academic ivory tower and placing them directly into the hands of everyday believers.
Meet Our Founder
Dr. Carlo Bottone
Having taught classical languages and literature across university lecture halls and preparatory classrooms, Dr. Bottone founded the Western Tradition Bible Academy to bring sacred languages out of academic isolation and into the hands of everyday believers. Seeing how conventional pedagogy alienates students through dry grammar drills and abstract memorization, he developed the Open-Table Decoder Method—an accessible, collaborative approach where students read authentic passages from the Latin Vulgate and apostolic Greek on Day One.

The Open-Table Philosophy
Traditional academic language instruction frequently bogs students down in exhaustive grammatical drills, abstract paradigm charts, and years of isolated memorization before they ever read a meaningful sentence. The academy’s open-table approach reverses this model entirely. By sitting together around authentic passages from the Latin Vulgate and apostolic Greek texts on Day 1, students discover that language acquisition can be natural, deeply meaningful, and collaborative.
